THE MISSION
The Yellow Wallpaper is regarded as one of the earliest and best works of gothic horror ever written, in addition to being one of the earliest published horror books written by a woman. It’s one of my favorite pieces of horror and I wanted to create a version of it where typography of the words tells the story as much as the words themselves.
THE IDEA
The story is told through a series of diary entries from the main character as she slowly loses her grip on reality and falls into madness. As her sanity wanes, the type becomes increasingly less structured until it becomes extremely difficult to discern.
